How we protect your data and systems, and where the boundary of that responsibility sits.
Our side of the line
Encryption in transit, access control on our own systems, least-privilege permissions for staff, logged access to customer machines, and patching of the infrastructure we operate.
Your side of the line
On an unmanaged server you hold root, which means the operating system, the applications, the firewall rules and the backups are yours. We will help, and on managed plans we do this for you, but on an unmanaged plan we cannot patch a server we do not log into.
Network protection
DDoS filtering runs upstream at the data centre rather than being switched on after you are already down, and attack traffic is not counted against your traffic allowance.
Incident response
We maintain procedures to detect, respond to and notify affected customers of security incidents in line with applicable law. If we get something wrong we will tell you what happened rather than describe it as scheduled maintenance.
Reporting a vulnerability
Send security reports to info@krptechsolutions.com. Report them privately first and give us reasonable time to fix the issue; we will not pursue anyone who does.
