Information we collect
Information you give us directly — name, email, phone, company and billing details — and information collected automatically when you use the site, including IP address, device, usage and cookies. On the servers themselves we hold the account and billing records, not the contents of your disks.
How we use it
To provide and improve the service, take payment, answer your messages, send service notices such as maintenance and incident emails, and meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data.
What we do not look at
We do not read the data on your servers as a matter of course. Support staff access a machine when you ask us to, when we are investigating abuse originating from it, or where the law compels us. That access is restricted and logged.
Sharing and processors
We share data with the processors that make the service work — payment providers, the data centre operators that host your machines, email and analytics providers — under contract, and where the law requires it.
International transfers
We operate in twenty-four countries and process data outside your own, including in India and Canada. Appropriate safeguards apply to those transfers. Where you have a residency requirement, tell us before you order.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, and to object to processing. The GDPR and CCPA pages set out how to use them.
Retention
We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires — invoices, for example, have a statutory retention period.
